ZANACO coach Aggrey Chiyangi says despite going down to Zesco United in Saturday’s Week 13 match, the bankers are among the favourites to win the Super Division title.

Chiyangi said in a post-match interview at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka that the loss will not affect his team’s target of winning the seventh Super Division title.
Zanaco went down 0-1 to second-placed Zesco United to remain on 29 points, two better than the Ndola outfit.
“We are still leading the table despite losing and we are not disappointed. Our target is still intact. We will continue working hard,” Chiyangi said.
He, however, was disappointed that his team conceded a ‘silly’ goal.
Zesco striker Jackson Mwanza tapped in a pass from Cletus Chota.
Zanaco face reigning champions Nkana in Kitwe on Wednesday in a rescheduled Week Five match.
And Zesco coach George Lwandamina praised his players for handing Zanaco the first loss of the season.
Lwandamina said beating leaders Zanaco was not easy.
“Zanaco is a good team, they played well and I am sure they will fight back. They are still leading the park and this is their first loss,” he said.
Lwandamina said the win was a morale booster to his team’s ambitions of winning the Super Division title.
Meanwhile, Nkana coach Zeddy Saileti attributed his team’s failure to beat Power Dynamos to fatigue.
In a post-match interview after the teams battled to a 1-all draw at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe on Saturday, Saileti said his team played well in the first half but lost concentration in the second half.
“It shows that there is a little bit of fatigue in the team because we have played so many games this season,” Saileti said.
Prior to the Kitwe derby, Nkana played eight league matches, two in the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield and 11 in the continental championships.
Saileti, however, said the draw with Power was a fair result and the 12-time Super Division champions are still on course to retain the title.
Power coach Tenant Chilumba said the substitutions he made changed the match.
Chilumba replaced rested skipper Emmanuel Chimpinde and Jimmy Ndhlovu for midfielder Julius Situmbeko and striker Felix Nyaende respectively.
Alex Ng’onga scored the equaliser on 82 minutes after Ronald Kampamba had given Nkana the lead in the 37th minute.
Nkana, who have four games in hand, have 14 points while Power have 26.
And Green Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda said the 1-0 away victory to Nakambala Leopards will motivate the soldiers in the remaining matches.
“We have really fought hard for this victory. It wasn’t easy. Games at this stadium [Nakambala] are not easy but my boys were determined. They knew what they wanted,” said Musonda, who recorded the first win since taking over from Patrick Phiri last month.
His opposite Wilson Mwale who seemed displeased with Chilanga-based referee Joseph Jere’s officiating refused to comment.
Buffaloes have 14 points, three better than Nakambala.
