Former MMD President, Rupiah Banda, has advised top MMD officials to sort out the party leadership wrangles that have rocked the party amicably.

Mr. Banda says he is now an ordinary member of the former ruling party and that his wish is to see the party survive this storm.

Mr. Banda states that he will leave it to the party leadership to ensure that they sit down and resolve the differences that have hit the party.

The former republican President furthermore states that he does not want to interfere in the wrangles of the party but will concentrate on other things like agriculture.

Meanwhile, Evangelical Youth Alliance (EYA) International Executive Director, Reverend Moses Lungu has advised MMD Spokesperson Dora Siliya not to take lawlessness to the party stating that MMD is a peaceful party.

Reverend Lungu has told QFM in an interview that if MMD removes Dr. Mumba as party president that will be the end of the party.

He notes that the faction is just wasting its time because even if the party goes for a national convention, Dr. Mumba will be re-elected as party president because he is loved by most party members.
