FOUR people including a 17-month-old baby have died in a road traffic accident while nine others sustained injuries after a car collided with a light truck on Kapijimpanga-Mujimanzovu road in Solwezi.
North-Western Province deputy commissioner of police Geoffrey Kunda said yesterday that the accident happened on Saturday after the driver of the car, Obby Likashi, 29, lost control of the vehicle and hit into the truck that was being driven by Castrol Kamulwa, 30.
Melisi Mulasho, 34, Joseph Kafuta, 36, and the toddler identified as Cleopatra Kafuta died on the spot while Rabson Banda died on arrival at Solwezi General Hospital.
Those injured include Muteba Kabulati, 30, Leonard Malikyama, 23, Bernard Kankomba, 37, and a one-year-three-months-old baby Abel Kaunda.
