The opposition Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) has observed that since the Patriotic Front (PF) resumed power in 2011, there has been rampant abuse of human rights.
Speaking in an interview with QFM News in Lusaka, FDD Spokesperson, Antonio Mwanza, says the PF has killed the freedom of expression because they do not want the people to freely express themselves.
Mr. Mwanza notes that the Zambia Police Service has been used as a tool to block the opposition political parties to hold public rallies and it is now that they are trying to come out clean as if they never had any hand in the denying of the opposition to hold public rallies.
He furthermore notes that since the PF came into power it has been difficult for the opposition to dialogue with them on national matters but instead resolve to not to consult the opposition.
