Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa has filed for an injunction in the Lusaka High Court restraining Edgar Lungu from posing as Patriotic Front president.
And Bridget Atanga says she is still the ruling party’s secretary general.
Addressing a media briefing this morning Ms. Atanga says she has no negative feelings against any member of the PF.
She stresses that she is very disappointed with escalating levels of divisions in the ruling party following the death of President Michael Sata.
She says there is no need for anyone to abrogate the Patriotic Front constitution.
Ms Atanga has also stated that Mr Sampa is the legally elected PF president because his election was transparent and followed the correct procedure.
She has since called on Zambians to rally behind Mr. Sampa ahead of the 2015 presidential by-election as the PF presidential candidate.
And speaking during the same briefing, Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba says the Patriotic Front will not accept a president who was not legally elected.
And Mr Sampa says he is ready to provide leadership to the ruling party by uniting all members of the party.
He explains that Ms Inonge Wina had no right to preside over the general conference which elected Edgar Lungu as PF President because she was still a suspended National Chairperson and no lifted her suspension.
Mr Sampa adds that it was unfortunate that other contenders were not invited to go and speak to the people during general conference held on Saturday in Kabwe.
Meanwhile Mr. Sampa has announced that the PF Secretariat has been moved from Lusaka House to its former location along Luanshya road, the building belonging to Kasama central MP Geoffrey Mwamba.
