Results from the five parliamentary by-elections held yesterday have been received with mixed feelings.
The ruling PF has scooped Mkushi South, Vubwi and Zambezi West seats while the UPND got the Solwezi Central and MMD won the Kasenengwa seat with the largest margin. PF’s Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa, who coordinated campaigns for the ruling party in Vubwi and Kasenengwa, told Mano News that the results prove those who claim that the PF is a party for Bemba speaking people wrong. Mr Sampa, who is also PF chairperson for commerce, added that the PF is a party for all Zambians and accepted by all. But speaking to Mano News today, MMD’s Chipangali MP Vincent Mwale has charged that the Kasenengwa parliamentary by-election result is a sign of lack of confidence in the PF by the electorates. Mr Mwale stated that the people of Kasenengwa feel disappointed with the PF government’s agricultural policies.

That’s what it is when you start behaving like you are already in state house. Some opposition leaders are so arrogant, they have this know it all attitude! When on poddium, they have absolutely no constructive massage for the people other than to say what wrongs the party in power had done. Now the results have come splushing on their faces and they want to find scapegoat ! This is theatrical !
