Minister of Gender and Child Development Inonge Wina says her Government recognizes the importance of good health.
Ms. Inonge made the remakes yesterday when she graced a two-day conference on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights being held at the Mulungushi International Conference centre in Lusaka.
Our staffer Marjory Chibwe Musonda who is attending the Conference reports that Ms. Wina says the Patriotic Front Government attaches great importance to issues of reproductive health.
Ms Wina stressed that cultural beliefs and practices hinder Sexual Reproductive Health on young people.
She also applauded first Lady Dr. Christine Kaseba for her works in as far Sexual Reproductive Health is concerned.
And speaking earlier Non-governmental Organisation Coordinating Council NGOCC Chairperson Beatrice Grillo says her organisation will endeavour to champion gender equity and equality as well as to push for the inclusive of the voice of women.
The two day conference which is being held under the theme Promoting Access to Gender Responsive, Sexual and Reproductive Health Services closes today.
