Churchgoers used their pedal power to raise much-needed funds towards a voluntary trip to Zambia.
Members of Ely’s Countess Free Church paired up on exercise bikes to complete a mammoth 24-hour cyclathon from 10am on Saturday through to 10am on Sunday.
The event was organised to raise money towards a trip to Lusaka which 10 church members are taking part in this July.
They will be helping to build a school in a slum, as well as working with local orphans and disadvantaged families.
The group need to raise around £5,000 in total.
A coffee morning was also held at the church on Saturday and raised around £250. It is hoped the cyclists will have raised several hundred pounds through sponsorship.
