MMD complains to ECZ over PF campaigns

MMD National Secretary Kapembwa Simbao a letter dated 4th February addressed to ECZ Director Pricilla Isaacs says his office has received information that Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili visited Vubwi,Kesenegwa and Petauke constituencies recently where he made donations to the youths.

Mr Simbao points out that in view of the pending by-elections in the three constituencies, it is clear that Mr Kambwili had gone to the areas to prematurely campaign for the ruling party.

He adds that Mr Kambwili visited the three constituencies using the GRZ ministerial vehicle which is another electoral offence.

Mr Simabao further states that the MMD campaign team in Katuba has filed a complaint that the PF campaign team has camped at Chipeso school which is supposed to be a polling station, and have also occupied a Government house.

He has appealed to the Electoral Commission to look into the complaints expeditiously and in the best interest of the electoral process.
