President Michael Sata has declared three days of national mourning in honour of the 53 passengers who died on Thursday’s road accident involving a Lusaka bound Post bus which collided with a truck in Chibombo district.
The national mourning will commence on Monday 11th February at six hours and end on Wednesday 13th February at eighteen hours.
During this period, all flags will fly at half mast and programmes of entertainment in nature shall be suspended.
This was contained in a press statement issued by Acting Secretary to Cabinet Dr Roland Msiska and made availed to ZANIS today.
President Sata has since sent a message of condolences to the bereaved families and wished several injured travelers a quick recovery.
