President Sata says he has decided to retire Mr Mwamba in National Interest.
He has thanked the former Information Permanent Secretary for the services he rendered to the Government during his tenure of office.
The Head of State has wished Mr. Mwamba success in his future endeavours.
This is according to a statement issued to QFM News by George Chellah the president’s special assistant for press and public relations George Chellah.
President Sata on Monday admonished Mr Mwamba for granting Radio Phoenix and QFM nationwide licenses without consulting him.
He said granting private radio stations nationwide licenses would affect national integrity.
Meanwhile Mr. Mwamba has thanked President Sata for the opportunity he gave him to serve in the Patriotic Front (PF) government.
Mr. Mwamba says his is grateful for the confidence that the Head of State had in him to allow him to serve in government as Permanent Secretary in Northern, Eastern and Western Provinces and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services, as well as at Cabinet Office.
Mr. Mwamba said this in a letter addressed to President Sata.
