Former President Edgar Lungu’s press aide Amos Chanda will today drag the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to court for allegedly violently invading his home.
Mr Chanda says the law enforcement agency acted outside the law by searching some of his property in his absence.
“As early as 09:00 hours on Monday (today), I will approach the High Court with [a] view [to] taking the director general for the Anti-Corruption Commission before the bench,” he said. “They pointed a gun at me and threatened to shoot me,” he said. “I am a law-abiding citizen.”
The ACC last week conducted a search at Mr Chanda’s residence and that of his sister in law. According to Mr Chanda, the search, which resulted in the seizing of some documents, ended at 23:30 Hours.
