Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila says the party will not be able to meet the 40 percent adoption of women candidates in the forthcoming elections.

Mr. Chama says though the party has received an overwhelming response from women wishing to contest in this year’s elections, the 40 percent target will not be met due to certain challenges.

He says most women are scared of applying to contest as Members of Parliament and councilors because of the political violence.
