Operations at the slug dump popularly known as the black mountain in Kitwe’s Wusakile Township commence next week by small scale miners known as Jerabos.
This follows government’s decision February this year to give 10 percent of the black mountain to small scale miners for mining activities.
In an interview with Phoenix News, Jarabo General Richard Chileshe confirmed that government has now given the small scale miners the necessary documents that gives them a go ahead to start operating from the black mountain, a move he says will create employment among the youths on the Copperbelt.
