A 50-YEAR-OLD woman of Serenje has committed suicide after she was allegedly caught committing adultery.
The woman has been identified as Doreen Telabula of Jason Farm in Chief Muchinda’s area.
Central Province commissioner of police Lombe Kamukoshi said in an interview yesterday that the death of Ms Telabula is the latest case of suicide in Serenje.
“This woman is married and she committed suicide by hanging herself,” Ms Kamukoshi said. “This was after she was caught having sex with a man who is also married.”
Recently, Humphrey Makoleka, 30, of Serenje’s Zambia township allegedly committed suicide by drinking suspected acid at his home in protest that his neighbour had impregnated his daughter.
