Sports Minister Vincent Mwale has confirmed that Football Association of Zambia-FAZ- has advanced in striking a deal with a named expatriate coach, who will be unveiled soon.
Mwale has told ZNBC Sports in a telephone interview from Eastern province that he will meet with FAZ on Wednesday over the matter.
He said government will leave FAZ to handle the matter.
FAZ- will this week appoint an expatriate coach.
FAZ last week appointed George Lwandamina as Chipolopolo coach, taking over from Honour Janza who has reverted back to his position of Technical Director.
Lwandamina’s first game in charge was Saturday’s barren draw against Guinea Bissau in an AFCON 2017 qualifier.
