Peter Correia is the new Managing Director of Airtel Zambia with effect from 1st March 2015.
Mr Correia takes over from Ms Charity Lumpa who has opted to retire from the mobile phone service provider to pursue other interests.
Mr Correia will be joining Airtel Africa from the Liquid Telecommunications Group where he has been the Managing Director for the South Africa Operations as well as the Group Director of Operations for the entire Liquid Group.
Airtel Africa’s Chief Executive Officer Christian de Faria in a statement has hailed Ms Lumpa for investing her time and effort in building a strong corporate reputation and improving the Airtel network quality during her tenure.
He points out that during Ms Lumpa’s tenure, Airtel Zambia has won several awards and has since wished her the very best in her future endeavours.
