Armed criminals attack Lusaka Police Post, injure officer

Armed criminals in the early hours of today attacked Ridgeway Police Post in Lusaka leaving one officer badly injured.

Sources have told QFM News that the injured Police officer was alone at the time the armed criminal pounced.
And Police have confirmed the incident to QFM News but could not give more details citing security reasons.

Police Public Relations officer Rea Hamoonga has warned that criminals that attacked the Police station and injured the officer will be hunted down and made to face the wrath of the law.

Mr Hamoonga says Police officers are already on the ground to investigate the matter.
He declined to disclose the name of the injured officer or confirm the name of the Police post which was attacked.

Recently armed criminals attacked Manda Hill Police Post in Lusaka opening fire, sending the officers who were caught off guard scampering for safety.

…..then a bunch of pipo start commenting blaming the police, honestly already you have read “ARMED criminals ” against 1 police officer, put yourselves in his shoes and stop blaming police ati they are corrupt….you should also blame yourself for accepting to pay the bribe, after you have been found guilty and you want an easy way out of your trouble by bribing them and they let you go on your way you start condeming them,….. Who does that? Both the briber and the bribee are not clean.

he was alone on duty coz children or sons of bosses name them can’t be pa inquires coz there is nothing (money). this attitude has grown in police and is frustrating even ranks re given 2 relatives or those who give them money. it’s so pathetic in police nowadays ati ni hardworking rubbish the one who is in fourfornt promoting this word.(ig).

A civilian will always b a civilian.It saddens me 2c a civilian rejoice wen a uniformed personnel z attacked or even killed in some circumstances.
On da contrary, they cry lyk babies wen their fellow civilian becomes da victim.
If we are to remove da same police frm society, they cnt even imagine hw they wil live lyk.
instead of jst yapping around get involved in enhancing ur personal security en those of ur families.be wise en stop showing us ur foolishness en childish approach to issues affecting even ur backyard.
