7 people killed in Bus – Truck head on collision at Chisekesi in Pemba district

SEVEN people have been killed while two others have sustained injuries in a head on collision road traffic accident involving a Noah bus and South a African truck . The accident occurred at a sharp bend when the driver of the Noah bus registration number AJB 866 attempted to overtake another vehicle but collided with an oncoming South African truck registration number DGS921GB. Pemba District Commissioner REGINALD MUGOBA, who was found at the accident scene, told ZANIS that six people on board the Lusaka bound Noah bus died on the spot. Mr. MUGOBA explained that in the process of overtaking, the driver of the Noah bus hit and killed a cyclist and injured another. The two injured include the lorry boy from the truck and another cyclist.
