Constructions works on a dam completed in Kawambwa
January 21, 2014 – ZANIS – Kawambwa- GOVERNMENT has completed the construction of a community dam at a cost 2.2Million Kwacha in Kawambwa District of Luapula Province.
And Luapula Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo says he is impressed by the construction works at the Kasumba Dam.
Mr. Kasolo has praised the Chinese contractors for the good workmanship and hoped that some Zambia contractors will emulate the
good job and adopted the Chinese work culture.
ZANIS reports that the Permanent Secretary said this in Kawambwa yesterday when he inspected the dam to verify the completion of the project.
He was accompanied by Provincial water Engineer for infrastructure and Development Stephen Sinkala, Kawambwa District Commissioner Ivo Mpasa and Chinese contractor Huang Yaochi among other Government officials.
And Wonderful Construction Company Managing Director Huang Yaochi has pledged to work with the Government through his company’s social
responsibility programmes.
