Former PF Lusaka District chairperson Goodson Banda has warned that in event that the Lusaka deputy Mayor participates in the forthcoming coming party District elections, there is likely to be divisions in the party as he can not take sides being the son of party and republican President.
Mr. Banda adds that in the event that Mr Sata loses the election, it would be seen as a rejection of President Michael Sata.
Mr. Banda adds that the Lusaka deputy Mayor is above the position of party District chairperson.
He states that being the son of the Head of State, Mr Sata is supposed to be a unifying factor in the party.
Meanwhile Mr. Banda has refuted allegations by PF Lusaka province chairlady Margaret Mumba that he together with Lusaka Province chairperson Geoffrey Chuumbwe are behind the petition to have her suspended from the party for allegedly perpetrating violence in the party.
Mr. Banda has advised Ms. Mumba to reflect on the reasons why women in the party are calling for her suspension having conspicuously sided with one of the rival factions in the party that had clashed over the endorsement debate.
