Central province roads receive face-lift

Government has embarked on the  rehabilitation and tarring of all feeder and urban roads in Kapiri Mposhi and Kabwe districts in the central province.

Central Province Minister Phillip Kosamu says government has allocated a contractor to do the project in the two towns.

Mr. Kosamu says feeder roads would be rehabilitated while urban roads would be tarred.

He disclosed this in an in interview with ZANIS in Kapiri-mposhi district.

Mr. Kosamu who could not disclose how much money would be spent on the project reiterated the Patriotic Front (PF) Government’s commitment to having a good road network not only in the two districts but the entire province as a whole.

The Minister said central province will see accelerated development in all key sectors of the economy under the PF and blamed the previous MMD government for not attaching great importance to the road infrastructure in the country.
