Zanaco Branch opening cheered
Nakonde, May 13, ZANIS —— The Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) in Nakonde district of Muchinga province has expressed delight at the opening of the new Zanaco branch in the area.
ZCTU Regional Coordinator for Muchinga province Nondo Kasanda noted that the union was happy that Zanaco bank has commenced its operations in the area as Nakonde is a busy town.
Mr Nondo explained to ZANIS in an interview in Nakonde today that the people in the area need better banking services for business transactions.
The Regional Coordinator appealed to all banks to consider improving their services and handle their clients in respective manner.
Mr Nondo has since appealed to the people in the area to embrace and co-operate with banks by opening accounts and provide security.
He urged banks to also consider opening branches in other parts of the province such as Chinsali, Mafinga and Shiwan’gandu districts among others in order to allow people to be better serviced.
Mr Nondo said workers in Muchinga were also anxiously waiting for the 5% loan facilities from the newly announced government bank in the district.
