President Edgar Lungu says he will not change the constitution to defer the 2016 General elections.
President LUNGU says rumours going round that he wants to change the constitution to defer the 2016 general elections are false.
He says he will work according to what the constitution states, and is not scared of taking part in the 2016 elections.
The president said when time for him to step down comes, he will do so because there is no shortage of good leaders in Zambia and in the PF.
And president Lungu says there is need to reject tribalism and promote the One Zambia One Nation motto.
He was speaking on arrival from Mozambique at Mfuwe international airport Thursday.
He was received by cabinet and deputy ministers, as well as party members.
President Lungu was in the company of first Republican president Kenneth Kaunda and daughter Tasila.
