The National Arts Council of Zambia (NACZ) has called for more television content now that Zambia has migrated from analogue to digital broadcasting system.

NACZ Assistant Director for Literary and Performing Arts Mwiche Chikungu said there was need for the country to come up with creative arts that will be aired on the new digital satellite broadcasting system.

In a statement issued to ZANIS in Lusaka today, Chikungu stated that film was a fantastic vehicle for the merging of the creative arts and digital economy.
And Chikungu has disclosed that NACZ, in partnership with the National Association for Media Art (NAMA), will soon conduct a free course to train film producers in the country.
He said the course, dubbed ‘Exploring Film-making: From Script to screen”, will be conducted at the National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) in Lusaka.

Chikungu, who however did not disclose the date for the course, explained that the training will explore the telling of stories, script writing and directing, cinematography and composing.
