Kabompo police receive transport
Kabompo, Apr 26/13/ZANIS—–Government has handed over a vehicle to Zambia Police in Kabompo district of North-western Province to alleviate transport problems the service has been facing.
And police officers in the district have been urged to take care of a brand new Land Rover the government has allocated to the police station.
North-western province police commissioner, Eugene Sibote, handed over the vehicle on behalf of the government to Kabompo police station yesterday.
Mr Sibote said he would like to see police in Kabompo district tick and take care of the vehicle government has given to the unit.
He also disclosed that government has allocated another brand new open Landover to Zambia police in Chavuma district.
And receiving the vehicle on behalf of the Zambia Police, Kabompo District Commissioner, Denis Kanyakula, thanked government for the gesture.
Mr Kanyakula said with transport available, police officers find the fight against crime easier.
