Former President Rupiah Banda has thanked President Michael Sata, for allowing him to travel to Tanzainia to attend the 50th anniversary of the Union between the Republic of Tanganyika and the People’s Republic of Zanzibar.
The function will be held in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.
Mr. Banda, who will be accompanied by his administrative assistant Mikatazo Wakumelo, has been invited by Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by Deputy Administrative Assistant Kennedy Limwanya.
And Mr. Banda says he is proud to have benefited from the mentorship of First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda during the independence struggle to the present day.
In his 90th birthday message to Dr Kaunda, Mr. Banda has observed that the Zambian Golden Jubilee, to be celebrated this year, is also a befitting recognition of the contributions and sacrifices that the founding Head of State made for Zambia.
Dr Kaunda’s 90th birthday falls on April 28.
Mr. Banda says his ascendancy to the Presidency of Zambia would not have been possible without Dr Kaunda’s wise counsel.
Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I certainly get irked while people consider worries
that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having
side effect , people could take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
