Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) President Edith Nawakwi has expressed concern with the prevailing situation at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) where cleaners are allegedly attending to patients.

Ms. Nawakwi has told Qfm News that this is as a result of government’s decision to nurses who went on strike.

Ms Nawakwi says there is need for government to differentiate between saving lives and politics for the good of the country.

She says first line defense of critical health care must be top priority for all Zambians
And Ms Nawakwi says the dismissal of the nurses should be blamed on the ministry of Finance and not the ministry of Health.

She says it is the ministry of Finance which did not fulfill the 200 percent salary increment promised to nurses.
