Police have arrested and detained Lusaka province Patriotic Front youth Chairman Kennedy Kamba for proposing violence.
This is in relation to last Thursday’s machete clashes involving rival PF cadres in which one person died and several others sustained serious injuries.
Mr. Kamba who arrived at Central police at about 14:10hours in company of his lawyer Abraham Mwansa was immediately taken for questioning.
Mr. Kamba was quizzed for over two hours, before his lawyer came told journalists that his client has been arrested and charged with proposing violence.
Mr. Mwansa says Mr. Kamba has been denied police bond and will appear in court tomorrow.
Yesterday police summoned Mr. Kamba in connection with the intra party clashes last Thursday.
