The South African Airways (SAA)has announced that it will start its flight operations to Zambia on 27th September 2021.SAA Interim Chief Executive Officer Thomas Kgokolo said the Airline will operate daily return flights to Lusaka with a view of adding more destinations in response market conditionsHe announced the resumption of the airline’s operations to Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Major General Jackson Miti.Mr Kgokolo said he was excited to lead the airline during its time of rebirth and renewal as it was focusing to implement its growth strategy which included services to Zambia.
He said his airline will be a respectful player in the aviation sector as well as remain a safer carrier with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.And General Miti expressed gratitude to the airline for resuming operations to Zambia. He said the coming on board of SAA would help increase tourist arrivals in Zambia.General Miti said government had placed great importance to the tourism sector in its diversification agenda as it was one of the important economic sectors.
