Musician Clifford Dimba commonly known as General Kanene has produced three songs supporting President Edgar Lungu ahead of the August 11, general election.
And General Kanene has refuted online media reports suggesting that he has ditched the ruling party Patriotic Front-PF- to join the UPND.
In a walk interview at ZNBC studios in Lusaka this morning General Kanene said he will eternally be grateful to President Lungu and the government.
Kanene said political attacks and lies against him would not alienate him from President Lungu.
He said while the opposition is peddling lies against him, he is busy in the studio producing songs.
General Kanene has since produced three songs namely “Alungu an nichosa ku manda”, ” Mwenze lila Constitution”, and ” Ine ni Lungu ce”.
And Patriotic Front deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya says Musician Clifford Dimba popularly known as general Kanene is a free man and can chose to support any political party he wants.
Mr. Bwalya says the release of Mr Dimba was because of President Edgar Lungu’s belief that he can be transformed.
He said this in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.
Mr. Bwalya also said the PF is aware that some opposition parties are buying people in the name of the PF to cause confusion ahead of the elections.
