Political analyst Alex Ng’oma says chances of a presidential election re-run after today’s elections are high.
Dr. Ngoma, who is a lecturer in the school of humanities and social sciences at the University of Zambia, says this is because of the high the high number of presidential candidates contesting the elections.
He says the votes will be divided among the nine presidential candidates making it difficult for the presidential election to be decided in the first round.
And Dr. Ngoma has appealed to losing candidates to accept the results of the elections in order to maintain the peace which characterized the voting process.
He also hailed the high voter turnout in today’s elections.
