NORTH-WESTERN Province commissioner of police Grace Chipalila has died.
Ms Chipalila died in the early hours of yesterday at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka after an illness, North-Western Province deputy commissioner of police Geoffrey Kunda confirmed.
He said the police command in the province is deeply saddened about the death of Ms Chipalila.
“We are deeply saddened by the development as the service has lost one of its able officers, which is a reduction in manpower,” he said.
He said the death of Ms Chipalila is a great loss not only to the Zambia Police Service but to the government as well.
