First Lady, Esther Lungu says she is determined to work towards the empowering women, children and the vulnerable people.
She says she is doing this through her outreach programmes being undertaken in rural parts of the country.
The first lady said this when she featured on a special television recording in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the side-lines of the on-going 25th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit taking place in Sandton city.
Mrs. Lungu is convinced that poverty among women, if not properly addressed, can reverse national development.
She says women play a pivotal role in the socio-economic development agenda of the country.-ZANIS
