MAN in Mansa has been stoned to death

A MAN in Mansa has been stoned to death by three of his in-laws after callegedly denying his wife permission to nurse her sick mother in a nearby village on Monday.
Samuel Kalaba, 40, of Kalusha village sustained multiple deep cuts on his head and bruises on his body after being stoned by his wife’s three brothers.
His mother in-law is suffering from malaria in Chipeti village 40 kilometers away from Kalusha village and her daughter wanted to leave home for a while to be on the bed side.
But Kalaba allegedly denied his wife permission and the move enraged her three brothers who pounced on him and stoned him to death.

 

he three brothers are John Ilunga, 20, Charles Chisala, 27, and Benjamin Ngandwe, 29, all of Chipeti village.
Luapula province commissioner Malcom Mulenga who confirmed the incident yesterday said Kalaba’s body was delivered to Mansa general hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem while the three men had been arrested.
