President Michael Sata has directed Patriotic Front-PF Secretary General Edgar Lungu to lift the suspensions of some PF members with immediate effect.
PF Director Media and Publicity Brian Hapunda says the move aims at promoting party reconciliation and reconstruction.
Mr Hapunda says this will further help build peace in the party.
He has however said that members whose positions were replaced and are facing disciplinary charges or suspensions will have to take their cases to the office of the Secretary General for further consideration.
MR. Hapunda says the move to lift suspension is part of the PF’s preparations for the 2016 elections.
