NW elders support PF government
Solwezi, June 24, 2014,ZANIS— North Western province development council of elders says it is in
full support of the projects being implemented by the PF government.
The council of elders chairperson Lucas Chikoti said the people in
the province, particularly the council of elders, are impressed with
the projects so far initiated by the government in the area.
Mr Chikoti commended Government for engaging three contractors to work
on the dilapidated Solwezi -Chingola road.
He said that the reconstruction of the Solwezi – Chingola road has
made people in the province happy as it is important to the mining
industry and contributes significantly to the national treasury.
The council of elders chairperson also urged the mines in the area to
supplement government efforts by working on feeder and township roads
as they were partners in development in the areas where they operate.
