The Zambia Police traffic department in Kasama has intensified road patrols in an effort to create sanity on the roads.
Northern Province Police Commissioner, Charity Katanga told Mano News in an interview that the decision to intensify patrols is as a result of the increase in unregistered vehicles and traffic accidents in the provincial capital.
Mrs Katanga has since implored on motorists to ensure that they meet all the requirements and observe traffic rules.
She warned that her officers will not relent in ensuring that motorists flouting traffic regulations are charged accordingly.
