I am not retiring says Chintu
Lusaka, March 18th, 2013, ZANIS — Clubless Zambia defender Kampamba Chintu he is not retiring despite currently sitting for a CAF C license coaching course.
According to MTNfootball.com, the veteran Zambia defender is currently amongst 47 coaches and ex-internationals attending a CAF C license course in Lusaka.
"A lot of people have been asking me if I am retiring now just because I am attending this course," Chintu told MTNFootball.com.
"The answer is no and I am just preparing for my future after I retire now."
Chintu has been clubless since last August after Bidwest Wits released him.
The 32-year-old defender said he has also recovered from a thigh injury that saw him ruled out of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Chintu, who still officially travelled to the Africa Cup as team mentor, said taking the CAF course was the right thing to do at this time in his life.
"It has changed my perspective from player to coach," Chintu said.
"They are some little things you take for granted as a player that coach sees. It is a different experience and I am enjoying it very much."
