An officer with the Zambia Police Anti-Robbery Squad has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Lusaka’s Chelstone area.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner, Charity Katnga has confirmed this in an interview with TV 2 news.
Ms Katanga has however not disclosed the name of the officer, because the police are still investigating the matter.
She has explained that the body of the officer was found hanging on Friday in his house.
Ms Katanga says the officer allegedly used his uniform’s shoulder strap to hang himself.
