The Zambia Public Procurement Authority -ZPPA- has slapped a one year suspension on Mango Tree Construction Company Limited for providing force documents.
Authority Principal Public Relations Officer, John Chipandwe says the construction company will not be allowed to participate in any public procurement process in Zambia for the suspension duration.
Mr. Chipandwe told ZNBC News in Statement in Lusaka today that during a public tendering process for the construction of Palabana University in Chongwe District, the company provided a forged academic qualification for one of the key staff purportedly obtained from the University of Zambia.
He said the suspension also applies to any entity which employs or associate with any partner and directors of Mango Tree Construction Company Limited.
Mr. Chipandwe said ZPPA is therefore notifying procuring entities not to engage in any procurement process with the named company.
He said the authority has also issued a circular to all controlling officers, Chief Executives of Parastatal and statutory bodies, Town clerks and council Secretaries of all Local Authorities to adhere to the suspension.
