GRADE 12 pupils at Kitwe Boys Secondary School on Tuesday ran amok in protest over an alleged “tough” biology examination paper and blocked Kwacha Road in Parklands.
Four pupils were arrested in the fracas and later released after paying admission of guilt fines for conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
The irate pupils, who engaged police in skirmishes, claimed that the invigilators gave them a “different” biology examination paper instead of the one that they were supposed to sit for.

The pupils pelted police officers deployed near Kitwe Playing Field with stones as the law enforcers attempted to restore order.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said in an interview yesterday that the incident happened around 10:00 hours.
Ms Kasosa said among those arrested were Patrick Kapaya, 18, of house number Bo6/31, Bulangililo, and three pupils aged 16 and 17.
Ms Kasosa said the pupils were charged with conduct likely to cause the breach of peace and later released after paying admission of guilt fines to enable them write their examinations.
“On Tuesday, we arrested some pupils of Kitwe Boys Secondary School who blocked the roads with stones after writing their exams. The pupils have been released to allow them to write their exams,” she said.
And Kitwe district education board secretary Kezela Mwale also confirmed the incident but did not have much information on the matter.
“It was nothing serious, the pupils were excited after writing the exams and started banging the gates to their school,” Mr Mwale said.
