Small scale entrepreneurs welcome President Lungu’s interventions

Some Small scale entrepreneurs have welcomed President Edgar Lungu’s interventions to cushion the impact of load shedding across the country.

 

ZNBC reports that those talked to are happy that President Lungu has sympathized with them over the power deficit which is affecting the smooth operation of their businesses.

 

Meanwhile, Education Minister Michael Kaingu says the splitting of the ministry of education will increase efficiency in service delivery.

 

And Chief Government Spokesperson Chishimba Kambwili says President Lungu’s speech has inspired confidence in Zambians.

 

Mr. Kambwili says President Lungu has shown that he is up to the task of leading the country.

 

And MMD Sinda MP Levy Ngoma has commended President Lungu for showing commitment in reviewing the public order act.

 

Meanwhile the Norwegian Ambassador to Zambia says President Lungu’s speech gives Zambians confidence.

 

Arve Ofstad says the speech has come a time the country is faced with various challenges which the president has addressed.

 

And former First Secretary for Trade at the Zambian Mission in London Anthony Mumba has commended President Lungu for splitting the Ministry of Energy into two to focus on energy and the other one mining.

 

And Zambia Corporative Federation Director General James Chirwa has commended President Lungu for showing commitment to the development of the corporative movement in the country.

 

Economist Noel Nkhoma also hailed President Lungu for providing an inspiring speech and giving guidance on how to develop the country.

 

And Zambia National Women’s Lobby Group has praised President Lungu’s initiative to expand the intake levels of street kids at the Zambia National Service Camp for Skills and Entrepreneurship Training.

 

Women’s Lobby National Chairperson, Beauty Katebe says Government must go further to provide incentives for graduates from skills training to enable them put the acquired skills to good use.

 

Meanwhile, Former Zambia Congress of Trade Unions -ZCTU- president Leonard Hikaumba says he is particularly happy with the Presidents move to realign some Ministries.

The Basic Education Teachers Union of Zambia -BETUZ- General Secretary Jeffrey Simuntala added that the splitting of the Ministry of Education has been a call for the Teachers Union.

 

Meanwhile the Patriotic Front says President Lungu remains unstoppable in his quest for a better Zambia.

 

PF Media and Publicity Committee Vice Chairperson Sunday Chanda says the President has given a clear and strategic sense of direction.

 

In a statement issued to ZNBC News in Lusaka today Mr. Chanda says the reforms pronounced by the President provide a firm foundation for national development.

 

And PF Lusaka province chairperson Daniel Kalemba say President Lungu’s call for national reconciliation is a mark of true leadership.

 

And PF Students Coalition Coordinator Gift Kasalu says the Party is happy with the pronouncements made by the Head of State.
