The Southern African Center for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) says it is worried about the increasing culture of political cadres wearing military-like in Zambia.
Executive Director Boniface Cheembe says his organization believes that this culture should be a concern for Zambians that want peace and order to prevail in the country.

Mr. Cheembe has told Qfm News in an interview that his organization’s fear is that if this culture is not put to an end it will increasingly become very difficult in future to distinguish between political cadres and the country’s legitimate military personnel.

He says this means that the Zambia Police must act with haste on this particular issue to avoid a situation where citizens become victims of cadres masquerading in military attire.
Mr. Cheembe has also called upon the leadership of political parties whose cadres have adopted the culture of gliding in military-like attire to also play a role in ending the said culture.
He has urged them to prevail over their party cadres by ensuring that they desist from wearing military-like political attires.
