The opposition UPND has refuted assertions suggesting that its officials are against the appointment of Geoffrey Mwamba as its vice president for administration.
UPND deputy spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo says such suggestions are only mere insinuations.
Mr. Lifwekelo has contended that wide consultations were made by party structures 8 months prior to the appointment of Mr. Mwamba who is also former Kasama Member of Parliament.
He says the decision to appointment of Mr. Mwamba was as a result of consensus from party members.
Mr. Lifwekelo has since reaffirmed his optimism that Mr. Mwamba will supplement the current leadership of the UPND.
