ZNBC Senior Reporter at the Kitwe office, Queen Chungu Malama has died.
Mrs. Malama died in the early hours of Friday at Kitwe’s Progress medical centre after an illness.
ZNBC Corporate Affairs Manager, Masuzyo Ndhlovu has confirmed the death of Mrs. Malama.
Mrs. Malama, who joined ZNBC in 2005, is survived by a husband.
Funeral gathering is at the deceased’s home at house number 9309, Chikamoneka road in Kitwe’s Chimwemwe Township.
Burial arrangements will be announced later.
Meanwhile, Information Minister, Chishimba Kambwili has described Mrs. Malama’s death as devastating.
Mr Kambwili says the media has lost a Journalist, who contributed massively to the growth of the media industry.
He has explained that he had worked with Mrs. Malama on a number of assignments and described her as a committed hard working journalist.
Mr Kambwili was speaking, when he visited the funeral house of late Queen Chungu Malama.
The minister was accompanied by ZNBC Regional Director North, Reuben Kajokoto, Principle Engineer North, Justin Lyenje and Kitwe District Commissioner, Chanda Kabwe.
