Demonstrators turned on a policewoman they accused of shooting a protester in Burundi’s capital, Bujumbura, reports the Reuters news agency.
They carried her through the streets and at one point a man tried to protect her from the crowd.
Protesters beat and stoned the policewoman before she was handed back to the police, reports
