Defence Deputy Minister Christopher Mulenga has urged the staff in the Defence force to remain morally upright when executing their duties both in local and foreign mission.
Mr. Mulenga says HIV and AIDS can be contracted by anyone regardless of the profession and status in society.
He has further stated that his ministry will not hesitate in taking disciplinary action against any form of indiscipline among the staff in the Defence force.
He said this when he addressed a parade of the Zambian troops being deployed to Central African Republic on the United Nations Stabilization mission at Arrakan Barracks today.
Mr Mulenga however commended the Zambian troops who have worked with the United Nations and the African Union in various missions for exercising professionalism and good discipline.
And speaking at the same function, Zambian Army Commander Paul Mihova has thanked both Zambian and the American governments for providing financial support during the training of the troops to be deployed in the Central African Republic.
Mr. Mihova says the commitment shown by the two governments to promote peace and security around the African Continent cannot be overemphasized.
