Community involvement cheers DEBS
Lukulu, March 6, 2015, ZANIS — Lukulu District Education Board Secretary Allan Mukata has welcomed community involvement in infrastructure development at schools in the area.
Mr Mukata says his office is happy that the community especially parents to pupils get involved in the development of school infrastructures.
Mr. Mukata said that the DEBS office is happy that Mulongo Secondary School with the initiation of parents is constructing a 1 x 3 classroom block which will cost K190, 000.00
And Mulongo Secondary School headmaster Jonas Kamwengo said the construction is expected to be completed by next year to allow recruitment of new pupils.
Mr. Kamwengo told ZANIS in Lukulu today that once completed, the building will go a long way in creating more classes for the pupils which is going to benefit the school and the community at large.
Mr. Kamwengo however said that the project’s completion depends on the flow of funds hence called on well-wishers to come to their aid.
