Government reiterates commitment to social justice
Solwezi, February 21st, ZANIS —-Government has reaffirmed its commitment towards the advancement of social justice for all.
North-western province Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga says government has for this reason stepped up efforts in both human and financial resources in areas that have a direct impact on improved livelihoods.
Mr. Malupenga said government remains committed to ensuring that economic growth is inclusive so that it brings about improved standards of living for all Zambian people.
ZANIS reports that the Permanent Secretary was speaking in Solwezi last evening during the official opening of the first ever Civil Servants and Allied Workers Union of Zambia (CSAWUZ) provincial conference.
Speaking earlier CSAWUZ National President Davie Chiyobe appealed to President Edger Lungu to consider uplifting the wage and employment freeze and consider revisiting the 65 year retirement age as per campaign promise.
Mr Chiyobe urged government to be responsive the civil servants’ calls as they are the engine of government in service delivery who need motivation.
